Having finished the challenge, I thought about what alternative dress to order. It arrived, and I hated it on me. Various reasons, more to do with me, and my perceptions of myself, than problems with the dress.
It felt thin, but actually it’s the same fabric as my red dress I wore at Christmas. I looked frumpy in it, but it’s got more shape to it than the current one.
So while I think about it, I grabbed another Sierra from the B/S/T site.
Then yesterday I made a mistake.
I’ve been wearing my red dress, just for the change. I’ve had to remember to switch my laptop camera off in meetings if needing to move, otherwise people may have got an unexpected view. But otherwise I love the dress and it’s rare for me to wear colours.
And then I nipped to the shops.
I couldn’t go to my nearest shop as there was some sort of police incident going on, so I got in the car and went to the big Tesco.
If I had a pound for everyone who sang’Lady in Red’ as I went past 😆
Every single one of them chuckled like they’d said something witty and unique.
All made even worse by the fact that I really really don’t like that song!
